Here you can find details of other activities running in the area for people with visual impairments and useful links;
Tandem Trekkers: This project started with volunteers as a KVIN project but is now its own charity. It gives locals with sight loss the opportunity to ride a tandem, led by a sighted volunteer along one of many routes around Kirklees. You can keep updated with Tandem Trekkers events by liking them on Facebook or following thwm on twitter
Ukulele Sessions: Following the success of last years music taster workshops, one of our volunteers has arranged for fortnightly Ukulele lessons open to all. To be held every other Monday, 2pm-4pm, at the Thrive cafe, based in Connect Housing, within Dewsbury town centre. Sessions cost £10 per participant. Anyone interested in taking part should call Martin Eatherley on 07974603699
Dewsbury Parkrun: Running every Saturday, at 9am in Crow nest Park, this 5km event allows you to walk or run your way back to fitness. With prior notice guide runners can be organised to partner sight impaired participants. Potential runners should speak to the run directors either prior to the event or via the Dewsbury Parkrun facebook page.
