Volunteers’ Week

It’s Volunteers’ Week next week and here are KVIN we are all set! We have planned a week of celebrating the work of our existing volunteers and welcoming potential new volunteers to the team.
Volunteers’ Week is a time to say thank you for the fantastic contribution volunteers make and is organised by NCVO.

KVIN will be celebrating on Wednesday 5th June 2019 from 10am to 2pm with our Volunteer Open Day at our office at Brian Jackson House in Huddersfield Town Centre. Come along to find out about our volunteering opportunities and meet our friendly team of volunteers. There will be cake and refreshments to celebrate.

On Tuesday 4th June we are attending the Kirklees Volunteer Fair at Huddersfield Mission, HD1 1QA from 10am to 2pm. More than 30 local groups will be on hand to talk to you about how you can donate your time, share skills and gain more experience. A huge variety of volunteering opportunities across the Kirklees area. This event is a great one to attend if you are thinking about volunteering and want to find out whats available.

On Thursday 6th June we are attending another Volunteer Fair at Dewsbury Library, WF12 8EQ. Meet a range of organisations offering volunteering opportunities in the Dewsbury area. Pop in for an informal chat over a cup of tea/coffee.

Lastly, we will be publishing volunteer stories each day of volunteer week which shares the great work our volunteers do. Without our fantastic team of volunteers KVIN wouldn’t be the organisation that it is, they make all the difference and we want to celebrate their contributions. Our volunteers get involved in a wide range of roles to help keep the organisation going and we want to show how local people can get involved in their own way and make a difference!
