At KVIN we love tech and new and exciting apps that can help people living with Sight Loss, so when the NHS Track and Trace app was launched last week we wanted to check out its accessibility.
Luckily the app is accessible on both Android and iOS systems on smart phones which is great news for our community.
If you would like to hear more about how the app works, Mark explains it more in our latest Tech Podcast, listen here.
David says, ‘The COVID 19 Tracing App is accessible using Voiceover and immediately informs you once you have completed the joining questions, what the risk level is of your local area. It provides you with links to a wide range of guidance from the government website and can also link you to local information from the Local Authority’s website on guidance that will be specifically relevant for you. It also informs you of the alternative ways of accessing a test if you have any of the known symptoms.’
To download the app you can use these links;
