Tandem Trekkers: This project started with volunteers as a KVIN project but is now its own charity. It gives locals with sight loss the opportunity to ride a tandem, led by a sighted volunteer along one of many routes around Kirklees. Visual Impairment Social Club (VISC): is a social group for anyone who is blind/visually impaired or normally sighted who live in or around Leeds. Ukulele Sessions: Following the success of last years music taster workshops, one of our volunteers has arranged for fortnightly Ukulele lessons open to all. To be held every other Monday, 2pm-4pm, at the Thrive cafe, based in Connect Housing, within Dewsbury town centre. Sessions cost £10 per participant. Dewsbury Parkrun: Running every Saturday, at 9am in Crow nest Park, this 5km event allows you to walk or run your way back to fitness. With prior notice guide runners can be organised to partner sight impaired participants. Potential runners should speak to the run directors either prior to the event or via the Dewsbury Parkrun facebook page.
